It has come to our attention that Singapore Airlines has recently opened their cadet program to ALL nationalities! The program is FULLY SPONSORED.

Up until recent, this program was only open to Singapore nationals but that has changed. This is attributed to the growth of air travel in Asia. Asian carriers will have a very high demand for pilots but will not be able to fill the numbers with interested nationals.

Never ever, they never invited anyone to that crap interview. SIA along with CAAC, UAE based airlines you will feel the subject of “racism”
according to an SIA training captain, no one will stand a chance unless they are Singaporeans (Citizens, not PRs) and Malaysians!
      Stay away
Find an airline that respect nationalities all kinds, then you’ll able to join that airline with pleasure!

The ab-initio program is for Singapore or Malaysian citizens as far as Singapore Airlines goes. Almost ALL ab-initio pilot cadet programs are only available to nationals due to government policies. Even Cathay Pacific made the change a few years ago. You can find advanced programs will consider other nationals.

Hello, I am a seafarer in my present occupation but becoming an airline pilot is what I wanted to become. I graduated in a maritime Academy here in the Philippines but my heart is strongly in aviation. During my spare time I study pilot handbook of aeronautical knowledge and Aerospace Engineering. I also love mathematics since pilots are good in math and physics and spatial awareness or navigation.
In my case I already have an account with the SIA Ab Initio program. But in my application, I cannot complete yet my resume or curriculum vitae. Can I submit a resume even my work experience is not yet a ship officer? A matter of fact my first flight experience was aboard Singapore Airlines flight. And I enjoy flying with SIA.
    Thank you for your assistance.

    Best regards,

    Alvin

Do not submit anything you have not actually done. You can mention that you have graduated but its not experience. You should also be aware that the ab-initio cadet program is open to Singapore and Malaysian nationals.
